Ich male keine Porträts. Ich male Zustände.

Meine Arbeit beginnt mit einem Gefühl, das ich durch die menschliche Figur sichtbar werden lasse. Ich reduziere das Bild auf das für mich Wesentliche und lasse den Pinselstrich bewusst sichtbar. Ich suche nicht nach Perfektion, sondern nach Präsenz – nach jenem Moment, in dem eine gemalte Figur lebendig wird und eine eigene Geschichte zu erzählen beginnt.

I don’t paint portraits. I paint states of being.

My work begins with a feeling that I make visible through the human figure. I reduce the image to what is essential to me and deliberately leave the brushwork visible. I am not searching for perfection, but for presence — for that moment when a painted figure comes alive and begins to tell a story of its own.
